$5 Million in Cars STOLEN at THIS Airport?!

Stacks of one hundred dollar bills scattered.

(AmericanProsperity.com) – Exposing major security flaws at one of America’s busiest transportation hubs, an organized crime ring has stolen nearly $5 million worth of vehicles from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

This alarming heist involved at least 14 suspects and 52 stolen vehicles, which highlights the growing threat of organized crime in the nation.

The theft ring, led by Yoel Hernandez-Frometa, used advanced technology to reprogram key fobs and steal high-end muscle cars and luxury SUVs from unsuspecting travelers.

Besides targeting DFW, this criminal enterprise has also hit airports in Texas, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah.

The audacity of these criminals knows no bounds. They not only stole vehicles but also changed Vehicle Identification Numbers, illegally retitled cars and transported them to Mexico for sale.

By doing so, these criminals mirror the tactics of transnational crime networks, exploiting weak security measures and predictable routines at American nation’s airports.

While authorities have made significant arrests by reducing car thefts at DFW by nearly 58% from 2023 to 2024, the threat remains.

For instance, a staggering 142 vehicle thefts were reported at DFW in 2023, compared to 60 through November 2024.

The FBI’s Dallas Field Office is now assisting DFW Airport Police with the ongoing investigation, signaling the seriousness of this criminal enterprise.

However, the complex nature of these organized theft rings, which operate across multiple jurisdictions with specific roles for members, makes them difficult to track and prosecute effectively.

While authorities work to combat this threat, travelers are advised to take precautions: park in well-lit areas, lock doors, remove valuables and ensure alarms or tracking systems are active.
