(AmericanProsperity.com) – On January 6, 2021, Trump supporters gathered at the US Capitol to show their dismay over the 2020 presidential election, which they believed Joe Biden stole. The incident escalated, and many supporters breached the Capitol building. Several politicians, including Vice President Mike Pence, fled to safety. The Justice Department claimed that Kamala Harris, the Vice President-elect, was among the officials who ran. But is that true?
According to the Department of Justice (DOJ), Harris wasn’t in the Capitol during the alleged attack. But, of course, she did return later to cast a crucial vote that led to Biden ascending to the presidency and Harris becoming VP.

Newly released information does beckon the question of where Harris was and why she wasn’t at the Capitol. According to contacts of Harris, the now-vice president has seen threats against her life throughout her political career and doesn’t disclose her whereabouts due to safety concerns.
Still, why did the DOJ state that Harris was in the building during the riot? They made the claim for months following January 6. Harris indicated in several interviews by mid-January that she wasn’t present at the time of the attack, confirming reports of her absence.
Harris, in one interview, declined to say where she was at the time of the incident, claiming it was for security reasons. The vice president-elect was at the Capitol earlier in the day at a Senate Intelligence Committee meeting but reportedly left before the riot.
Where was Harris at the time of the Capitol riot, and why won’t she say where she was?
