(AmericanProsperity.com) – Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff is a Congressman and a lawyer. So when a report came out that he and his staff doctored a text message he presented to the January 6 Commission between GOP Rep. Jim Jordan and former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, calls for his disbarment began.
One of those leading the charge is Fox News host Mark Levin. He says lawyers have no right to doctor evidence, especially if that particular evidence will potentially land people in prison. He said if people believe Schiff was unethical about his actions, they should demand his disbarment rather than whine about it.

Adam Schiff and his team did admit to doctoring the text message in an email explaining what happened. The email from Schiff’s team stated that The Select Committee created and provided Rep. Schiff with a graphic to use during the business meeting quoting a text message from a “lawmaker” to Meadows. However, compared to the original text message sent, there were differences in punctuation marks and missing words, and the original message was much longer.
The Select Committee said in the email it was responsible and “regrets the error.” But according to the email, there was no error, and several GOP lawmakers commented on the admission by Schiff and his team to lying about doctoring the original text message and even blasted him for his deceit. One of those lawmakers who blasted Schiff commented on the matter, saying that anyone who knows Jordan knows he does not send out lengthy text messages.
A spokesman for Jordan asked if anyone was really shocked to hear Schiff was once again going through private text messages and “cherry-picking” information to fit his narrative and spread misinformation, especially when people’s lives are at stake. Yet, until this day, Schiff has never apologized or responded on why he and his team felt the need to doctor a text message from Jordan.
According to the American Bar Association’s Model of Professional Conduct, lawyers are not supposed to lie. A section within the document states that a lawyer “shall not knowingly make a false statement of material fact.” Perhaps it’s time the people remind Adam Schiff and hold him accountable.
