(AmericanProsperity.com) – Kathryn Kimball Mizelle, a US District Court Judge in Florida, recently struck down President Biden’s public transportation mask mandate. She ruled the order to be unlawful and declared it needed to be terminated. While many Americans are happy with the decision, namely Republicans and conservatives, others were not, including two major airlines who chose to continue forcing people to wear masks.

Their decision came even after Judge Mizelle determined the mandate was unlawful because it inadequately explained its reasoning; incorrectly solicited good cause exceptions, commenting, and noticing rulemaking; and exceeded the authority of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Denver7 News reported on its Twitter page that United and American Airlines would be keeping their mandates in place for both their employees and customers.
NEW: Both United and American Airlines tell @ABC they will continue to require masks on board aircraft for customers and employees, "despite the decision by a federal judge on Monday that struck down the federal mask mandate” as they await on more guidance from the US government.

Not long after the two companies announced their intentions to keep the mandates in place and enforce them, United Airlines decided to allow passengers and employees to be maskless on their flights unless their destinations had other rules in place.
NEW FROM UNITED AIRLINES: “Effective immediately, masks are no longer required at United on domestic flights, select international flights (dependent upon the arrival country’s mask requirements) or at U.S. airports.”

According to Voice of America, President Biden’s administration intends to fight Mizelle’s ruling. The White House explained it plans to appeal the decision if it feels masks are needed on buses, bus stops, airports, airplanes, trains, taxis, and other forms of public transportation.
