Alex Jones' Lawyer Made a Mistake That Could Land Him in Jail

Why Alex Jones’s Legal Nightmare Is Just Beginning

(AmericanProsperity.com) – Alex Jones, a right-wing conspiracy theorist and host of InfoWars, is currently facing a lawsuit from the families of the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting. Jones has been a prominent voice in claiming the event never took place and that the victims’ loved ones were crisis actors. Despite that, his attorney made a catastrophic mistake during the trial and sent important documents to the opposing counsel. Apart from the fact the mistake has caused him to lose the case, it could also land him behind bars.

Jones’ legal team accidentally sent Mark Bankston, the lawyer representing the people suing the InfoWars host, all of the contents on his client’s phone. The documents showed that Jones had lied on multiple occasions throughout the trial, leading the plaintiffs’ lawyer to ask the defendant if he knew what perjury was.

For anyone unfamiliar with the term, it defines the act of lying under oath in a court of law. So now, not only does Jones have to compensate families for damages, but he could be facing perjury charges as well.

Prosecutors will have to decide whether the conservative will face these additional counts, which could add up to five years to any sentence he might serve. Regardless of what prosecutors charge Jones with, proving himself a liar isn’t a good look for the conspiracy theorist or his business.
