Another Soldier Dies in Alaska - 5th Since November

(AmericanProsperity.com) – The US Military stands in mourning today after the recent announcement that yet another service member passed away in America’s great white north. Master Sgt. Wesley Woods, 40, of the 25th Infantry Division, was pronounced dead at his home in North Pole, Alaska, on December 30, 2021.

Woods is the fifth military service member stationed in Alaska to die since last November.

The Army Criminal Investigation Division and the Alaska State Troopers are actively analyzing the cause of death in this, and a long list of other incidents in which service members suddenly passed away:

  • 21-year-old Hunter Trey Stafford, an aircraft powerplant repairman with the 25th Aviation Regiment’s 1st Battalion, was found dead in Fairbanks, Alaska, on December 8, 2021.
  • 30-year-old Jordan Tarron, a chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear weapons specialist, served the 25th Infantry Division at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson’s 6th Brigade Engineer Battalion and 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), was found in his vehicle on November 26, 2021.
  • 22-year-old Isaiah Nicholas Oneal, a wheeled vehicle mechanic with the 25th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, was also found dead in his vehicle on November 28, 2021, in Anchorage.
  • 22-year-old Christian Joseph D’Andrea, an ammunition team chief and gunner who served with the 2nd Battalion, 8th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, was found dead at his home in Fairbanks on November 12, 2021.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is very much aware of the “worrisome trend in Alaska.” He allegedly intends to take action in the region and across other military bases to help prevent such “tragic deaths.”
