(AmericanProsperity.com) – House Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has a tendency to take everything about five steps too far. Her latest push to dissolve the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is a clear example of this.
On January 18, Ocasio-Cortez began her latest attack on DHS and ICE when she tweeted “Abolish ICE” attached to the agency’s honorary post in support of Dr. Martin Luther King. After news broke on Monday, February 22, that President Joe Biden reopened a center in Carrizo Springs, Texas for children who crossed the border alone, the New York lawmaker continued her push.

AOC is hoping to completely overhaul the immigration plan along with Representative Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) and other Democrats. Their eight-page plan would decrease immigration violation consequences, promote quick and full citizenship to those who enter our nation, and prohibit immigration enforcement at a multitude of places.
These are just a few ways AOC hopes to dismantle and destroy our national security. While there are always areas for improvement in our government, throwing entire agencies out the door is simply not the way to go.
