Baldwin Caught on Camera Discussing Gun Safety

( – Veteran actor Alec Baldwin is in the news once again relating to his 2021 shooting and killing of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on location in New Mexico. Baldwin has made a few claims professing his innocence, saying he believed the gun used on set was not loaded and that he’s never pulled its trigger. Initially prosecutors declined to press charges on Baldwin but then “new facts” became available and manslaughter charges were refilled.

The case is currently in front of a grand jury and they may be viewing a series of video clips from the filming of “Rust” in New Mexico. In a small batch of recently released clips, Baldwin can be seen telling a crew member who is likely Hutchins to move out of his line of fire, telling the person to “get behind the camera” while he discharges his prop revolver. In another clip a crew member is heard telling “everyone who doesn’t need to be right” there to leave the area.

Baldwin is also seen hurriedly asking for more ‘dummy rounds’ for his gun because he wants to keep shooting and not lose time. The “Hunt for Red October” star is seen alerting cast and crew that there is potential danger with him handling his weapon on the rough terrain they were shooting on at that time.

Baldwin’s fate is in the hands of the recently convened grand jury. They may decide to let him go again or they may decide there is enough evidence for a trial jury to hear the case and have Baldwin stand for manslaughter charges.

FBI experts have determined that Baldwin’s claims that he didn’t pull the trigger are false. They concluded that he did in fact fire the gun. The weapons armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed has been charged with involuntary manslaughter as well. Her trial is set to begin in February.
