(AmericanProsperity.com) – Calls between world leaders often have a multitude of implications hiding just under the surface. President Joe Biden made his first call to the leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and wished him a “happy and prosperous New Year.” However, Americans can understand much more about the two leaders’ long-standing relationship when they dive deeper into the lengthy chat.
President Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping have known each other since the Obama administration. On Sunday, February 7, Biden told CBS he knows the CCP leader “pretty well,” which makes sense given the fact they spoke for quite some time this week:

According to the call’s readout, Biden told Xi of his “fundamental concern” when it comes to China’s “unfair economic practices” and ongoing abuses in Taiwan and Xinjiang. But, Biden emphasized he’s “committed to pursuing practical, results-oriented engagements when it advances the interests of the American people.”
While Biden may have put a tinge of pressure on the communist regime, there’s little doubt that the two-hour call shows that Biden is in dangerous territory potentially cozying up to Xi Jinping. Biden must remember the ongoing atrocities that China commits every day against its own citizens and the world as he continues to deal with this country.
