(AmericanProsperity.com) – Rumors have been circulating in the media that the Biden Administration planned to provide $450,000 per person for families separated at the southern border after illegally crossing into the US. Americans everywhere have been livid. Nonetheless, President Biden doesn’t seem to have any idea about the alleged payments.
After speaking on November 3, President Biden took questions from the press. Peter Doocy of Fox News asked the president about the alleged payments and if they would encourage immigrants to cross the US-Mexico border illegally. President Biden sternly replied, “If you guys keep sending that garbage out. Yeah. But it’s not true.”

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) seems to think otherwise. Anthony Romero, Executive Director of the union, suggested that the President of the United States may not have been thoroughly briefed on the subject. The director insisted that Biden’s Justice Department, Health and Human Services, and Homeland Security are all considering close to $1 million per family in compensation.
According to President Biden, the reports are false, and the payments aren’t going to happen. Should Americans believe him? Or is he saying what they want to hear after their eruption of outrage over the alleged payments?
Update: A day after President Biden denied the payments, the White House walked back his statements. White House deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said, “the president is perfectly comfortable with the Department of Justice settling with the individuals and families who are currently in litigation with the United States government.”
