BREAKING: Cybertrucks Recalled by Tesla

(AmericanProsperity.com) – Tesla is taking another hit as almost all of its futuristic Cybertrucks are being recalled due to exterior panels that could fly off while driving.

The recall affects over 46,000 vehicles and represents the latest setback for Elon Musk’s electric vehicle company.

Tesla has also seen its stock plummet nearly 42% this year amid growing competition and waning consumer enthusiasm.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that the recall covers 46,096 Cybertruck vehicles manufactured between November 13, 2023, and February 27, 2025.

At issue is an exterior cant rail, a stainless steel sheet attached with structural adhesive, which may detach during operation.

“If the cant rail stainless steel panel separates from the vehicle while in drive, it could create a road hazard for following motorists and increase their risk of injury or a collision,” the NHTSA warned.

This is not the first recall for the much-hyped Cybertruck. Tesla previously recalled units for a similar issue with metal trim around the truck bed.

The company has become a leading contributor to vehicle recalls in the United States, accounting for a staggering 5.1 million callbacks in 2024 alone.

While most Tesla recalls are typically fixed through over-the-air software updates, this mechanical defect requires physical repairs.

The company will replace the defective rail assembly free of charge for affected owners, but the recall adds another burden to the beleaguered automaker.

The issue came to light after social media videos showed the panel coming loose, and owners reported problems on the Cybertruck Owners Club website.

Tesla is aware of 151 warranty claims related to the defect but says it has no knowledge of any accidents, injuries, or fatalities caused by the falling panels.

For Americans who have supported Musk’s vision of American manufacturing innovation, the Cybertruck’s ongoing issues represent a disappointing failure.

With a starting price of around $100,000, consumers expect quality that matches the premium price tag.

Demand for the Cybertruck has shown significant weakness, with delivery delays plaguing the vehicle since its announcement.

Tesla’s stock has fallen by nearly half its value this year, reflecting investors’ growing concerns about the company’s future prospects in an increasingly competitive EV market.

Adding to Tesla’s woes is a rising resistance movement among consumers who object to Musk’s outspoken political stances.

This backlash has manifested in protests and calls for boycotts of Tesla products.
