Top Democrat DIAGNOSED – Will It Stall Biden’s Agenda?
(AmericanProsperity.com) – The CDC claims that two-thirds of Americans are completely vaccinated. Still, the vaccine and boosters don’t guarantee protection from COVID-19, and many people still contract the virus. For example, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) recently tested positive for COVID-19 just before the Senate returned from recess for a busy week.
According to the Associated Press, Justin Goodman, spokesman for Senator Schumer, announced in a statement on July 10 that the Democratic leader tested positive for COVID-19, adding he’s fully vaccinated and has received boosters. Goodman noted Schumer would follow CDC guidelines and quarantine for a week but continue to work from home.
Schumer has covid, per his spox. “Very mild symptoms.”

The spokesman assured Schumer’s Senate colleagues that even though the majority leader couldn’t physically appear in the Senate because of COVID-19, he would make his presence felt through virtual meetings and his phone.
It’s a busy week for the upper Congressional chamber, but Democrats are coming off of a two-week recess short-handed because they’re missing Schumer, Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) who’s recovering from a broken hip and surgery, and Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) who also contracted COVID-19 and is in quarantine. Midterms are putting pressure on the Democratic party as their majority in the House is slim and they’re at a slight deficit in the Senate at the moment because of this.
