12 Year Old’s Tragic Death Unites Community In Mourning
(AmericanProsperity.com) – It’s always tragic to see a young person with so much potential pass away. Archie Battersbee, who recently died in a hospital surrounded by family, was no exception. After news broke of the young boy’s death, the community came together to honor him and his family.

Observers had left lit candles as signs of well wishes prior to the preteen’s death. After the hospital took the young boy off life support and he passed away, passersby offered a show of solidarity by creating an “A” from the vigil outside the hospital. Others formed a heart shape around a picture of the preteen to express their support.
The 12-year-old boy died around 12:15 p.m. on August 6 at the Royal London Hospital, after doctors discontinued medical treatment. Doctors determined Battersbee was brain-dead and noted his condition had not improved since his admission.
Battersbee’s 46-year-old mother, Hollie Dance, discovered him unconscious on April 7 with a cord wrapped around his neck. The family thinks he may have been participating in a TikTok challenge. The boy had been in a coma and on life support since. Dance detailed the death of her son, asserting that no parent should be forced to watch their child suffocate to death.
