Compensation Approved for Victims of Scary Attack

( – Somewhere around 130 different government officials have been dealing with ongoing side effects from “microwave” or “directed energy” attacks. From headaches and ear pain to vertigo and disorientation, the trauma from this mysterious weapon can be debilitating. Thankfully, however, the Senate just approved a bill to monetarily assist the victims as they recover.

On Monday, June 7, the US Senate approved a bipartisan bill providing compensation to government employees who have suffered from “Havana syndrome.” The first known attack occurred in Havana, Cuba in 2016, although other attacks have been carried out, including two on our shores.

Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) shared his excitement for the bill:

Americans who have experienced these focused attacks can report mild traumatic brain injuries, concussions, attention issues, and ringing in the ears. For some, this is the price they have paid for serving our nation. While no culprit for the attacks has yet been identified, it’s vital to take care of these citizens as they recover and as we seek answers about this mysterious weapon.
