(AmericanProsperity.com) – After the Senate confirmed Justice Amy Coney Barrett following the death of late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg last fall, the Left has been chomping at the bit to add more justices to the nation’s highest court. This week, a few Democrat lawmakers put forth a bill that could do just that.
On Thursday, April 15, Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) introduced the Judiciary Act of 2021, a bill that would expand the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) from its current 9 justices to 13 in total. NBC News National Political Reporter Sahil Kapur shared the news as it broke:

While House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said she would not support the bill at this time, she’s likely to in the future. This comes after President Joe Biden announced a commission last week to analyze the “merits and legality” of the current reforms and proposals being put forward surrounding the Supreme Court.
For the past 150 years, the makeup of SCOTUS has remained the same. It leans slightly left or slightly right at different points in time as our justices come and go. The Democrats’ desire to change something that has been working as it was intended for decades is solely a political power grab that, thankfully, our GOP representatives in Congress can hold off for now.
