(AmericanProsperity.com) – The Walt Disney Company recently fired CEO Bob Chapek and brought back his predecessor, Bob Iger. Chapek’s obsession with woke politics seems to have spooked the entertainment giant, which led Disney into a losing battle with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) and ended up losing its special tax privileges in the state. Iger comes with his own issues, however. Now, he seems to be throwing the House of Mouse’s considerable weight behind the gun control movement.

Oh December 6, Iger, who took back control of Disney on November 20, joined actor Matthew McConaughey and former president Barack Obama at a fundraiser for Sandy Hook Promise, a nonprofit set up to promote gun control in the aftermath of the 2012 Sandy Hook elementary school atrocity.
At the event, Iger said that anyone who has the ability to influence the direction of the country, “whether it’s by influencing laws of shaping culture […] we have an extra responsibility.” That’s a strong hint that Disney could now try to “shape” our culture by pushing anti-gun messages in its vast media output.
Iger says that, as a father and grandfather, he sees gun control as one of the most important issues in the US. Obama also weighed in, calling the failure of universal background check legislation after Sandy Hook “the most bitter disappointment” of his time in the White House. Are we about to see another push for gun bans, with Disney providing the mood music?
