(AmericanProsperity.com) – Exposing the radical left’s infiltration of the education system, an Arizona social studies teacher has been arrested for threatening Donald Trump Jr. and Charlie Kirk.
24-year-old Daniel Ashpes faces criminal charges for his online threats against these conservative figures.
Ashpes is a teacher at Desert Vista High School in Tempe. He was arrested after sending threatening messages to Trump Jr. and Kirk while they were in the East Valley for a political rally.
The threats were deemed serious enough to warrant immediate action. Police received an alert through an RSVP service for the rally and an automated mass-messaging system for a Turning Point USA event.
During a police interview, Ashpes admitted to sending the threatening messages. He was charged with three counts of threatening to cause physical injury and one charge of using a phone to threaten or intimidate.
The Tempe Union High School District swiftly placed Ashpes on administrative leave, distancing themselves from his actions.
“TUHSD does not tolerate or condone any form of threats or harassment made by employees or students,” a Tempe Union High School District spokesperson stated.
Both Trump Jr. and Kirk are influential figures in the conservative movement. They quickly condemned the threats against them and called for a return to civil discourse.
“No one should ever be threatened or harmed because of their political beliefs. It’s time to stop this toxic culture of violence and return to civil discourse,” Trump Jr. said.
