(AmericanProsperity.com) – Politicians in the Lone Star State have been making bids to fill House Representative Ron Wright’s (R-TX) seat after his death in February. However, of the over 20 candidates in the special election, former President Donald Trump has chosen to endorse one to take his place — the late lawmakers’ wife, Susan Wright.
On Monday, April 26, President Trump applauded Susan Wright’s politics, noting each of the ways she would support the America First agenda. Politico reporter Olivia Beavers shared the full endorsement:

Wright has dedicated her life to serving her community while serving on boards and commissions in Tarrant County, as well as working as an elections judge and district director for state representatives. Her long-time work in politics paired with her commitment to protecting Texans’ rights to raise a family, bear arms, and to worship makes Wright a top pick for the job.
This endorsement did come a bit late in the game. Tuesday, April 27 was the last day of early voting for Texas’ 6th District, and in-person voting occurs on Saturday, May 1. But, hopefully, this endorsement along with Wright’s incredible track record will bring a victory this weekend. Stay tuned to see how things turn out.
