Fauci Announces Resignation From NIH

The Fall Of The COVID King

(AmericanProsperity.com) – Dr. Anthony Fauci, the face of the nation’s COVID-19 response and chief White House medical advisor, talked about resigning from his position as the director of the National Institute of Allergy Infectious Diseases (NIAID) earlier this year. The nation’s leading infectious disease expert recently confirmed he would be stepping down in December. What’s next for the 81-year-old?

The medical advisor mentioned he’s not retiring and is resigning to further his career in other areas while he still can. The expert expressed the honor he’s felt in directing the NIAID, which he’s done for 38 years. Fauci added that he’s proud of the institution’s accomplishments over the years. The doctor served through seven administrations, starting with Ronald Reagan’s.

President Biden mentioned that regardless of whether they’ve met Dr. Fauci, the expert has impacted the lives of Americans. The president isn’t wrong, although not everyone feels the effects were positive. Many citizens disagreed with the doctor’s response to COVID-19.

Dr. Fauci found himself at the center of criticism for several aspects of the pandemic, such as when he urged Americans to wear masks while not wearing one himself. The infectious diseases authority even told Americans they didn’t need the face coverings when the virus first hit, calling them useless, then flipped and demanded everyone cover up when out in public areas.

While Fauci didn’t reveal exactly what he planned to do following his resignation, the new activity likely won’t be related to the government. The expert noted that it was time for him to focus on the “next chapter” of his career. President Biden seems to believe the doctor will be successful in whatever he chooses to do next.
