FBI Targeting PATRIOTS? Whistleblower Shares Undeniable Proof

Jim Jordan (R-OH) sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray in July about whistleblowers from the agency informing his office that they were pressured to pad domestic extremism data. Republicans immediately began investigating the allegations. Just weeks later, even more, information has come to the surface.
In the letter last month, Jordan told the director that President Joe Biden’s administration might be pushing false information about terrorism. He claimed that a whistleblower alleged agents weren’t finding enough offenders, so they were told to reclassify the cases. Another informant told the congressman that they were encouraged to try to hit “self-created performance metrics” that were then used to “dispense awards and promotions.”

On August 10, House Judiciary Committee members Jordan and Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) sent another letter to former official Jill Sanborn. She served as the assistant director of the FBI Counterterrorism Division and later as executive assistant director of the National Security Branch of the agency. In other words, she was in the middle of the fray.

The congressmen claimed Sanborn was one of the officials who exerted pressure on agents to reclassify the cases. They said her “testimony is necessary” to advance Congress’ oversight powers. The lawmakers demanded that she contact Judiciary Committee staff by August 24 to schedule an interview.
