French President’s Secret Conversation With Biden Leaks

(AmericanProsperity.com) – Several world leaders recently congregated at the G-7 Summit, where the seven countries discussed global policy. While the war in Ukraine was unsurprisingly a big part of the meeting, leaders did discuss other issues. However, the media seems to be more interested in what French President Emmanuel Macron told President Biden away from the meeting, which appeared to be bad news.

Reuters TV caught a moment when the two world leaders were having a private conversation on the sidelines. Reuters reported that Macron told Biden he had spoken with “MbZ,” a nickname for Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the leader of the United Arab Emirates, who claimed the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries’ oil production was already at maximum capacity.

This news is a blow to President Biden, who has repeatedly urged the Middle East to increase production to help lower fuel prices. The price of oil continues to increase, and Biden may have to end his apparent war on domestic energy and begin allowing new gas and oil leases on public lands in the US. The revelation may also make him rethink his block on finishing the Keystone XL pipeline.

The French President also mentioned to Biden that the Saudis could increase their production by around 150,000 barrels daily, but they won’t have the larger capacities for six months. The setback is another massive wrench in the works for Biden, who has pledged to make Saudi Arabia a global outcast due to suspicions the country’s officials were behind the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. According to National Review, Biden will meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his trip to the Middle East in July.
