(AmericanProsperity.com) – In movies, people fake their deaths for many reasons, whether to hide from the law or to reinvent themselves and start new lives. People in the real world do the same thing and for equivalent reasons. Of course, they don’t want to be found.
Unfortunately for one man, the long arm of the law finally caught up. Nicholas Alahverdian, a man from Rhode Island, has lived an interesting life, several of them in fact. Authorities in Ohio convicted him of two sex-related charges back in 2008 under the alias Nicholas Rossi. In 2018, Alahverdian again found himself charged with sexual assault after a rape kit from 2008 containing his DNA came up as evidence.
Once again, his DNA has gotten the best of him:

Alahverdian allegedly died in February 2020 after his family reported that he had succumbed to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 32. His online obituary stated that his body was cremated; obviously, that was fake as well. Alahverdian went to the hospital in December after coming down with COVID-19. The hospital in Glasgow, Scotland, entered his DNA into their database, where it pinged that his name wasn’t Arthur Knight; it also revealed he was a wanted man in America.
At the time of his “death,” the FBI was investigating Alahverdian for fraud in Ohio and Utah. Information from the Utah County District Attorney shows that Alahverdian is in custody, and officials are currently working on extraditing him back to the United States.
