(AmericanProsperity.com) – Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has been making media rounds lately with the most recent sighting of her reading, what would have been her victory speech, on the MasterClass streaming site. While many people who viewed the speech said it was one of the most cringeworthy things they’ve ever seen, some supporters took it as a sign that she might be making another run at the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
The former first lady and secretary of state recently posted on Twitter about the current administration and what it would mean if former President Trump run again in 2024. Without mincing any words, Clinton said it would be the end of our democracy.
Former political strategist and President Bill Clinton commentator Dick Morris said although people may feel they want a female president, he doesn’t believe VP Kamala Harris is electable. He also said that with all the current administration’s problems, he feels Hillary wouldn’t be a serious candidate for the Democratic Party; he believes her ship has sailed.
Not everyone feels that way. According to an I&I-TIPP poll, only 22% of voters want Biden to seek reelection in 2024. Biden also has a current disapproval rating of 53%, with VP Kamala Harris at 52%. The current disapproval ratings for both the president and vice president can be attributed to the current state of the economy, spiking inflation rates, illegal immigration, rise in crime across the country, and the handling of the coronavirus. However, according to her supporters, Hillary is only 74 years old, and her age and experience make her a likely candidate to lead the charge for Democrats in 2024.
Over the past five years, the former Secretary of State has blamed her presidential defeat on everyone and everything from Bernie Sanders and James Comey to sexism and broken voter ID laws. In past interviews, she’s said she was given a high probability of becoming president; she still has no idea how she lost to a man who never served a day in office.
In an interview with ABC in October, Hillary said she would never be entirely out of politics and that she will always keep her options open. Although Trump hasn’t officially made any announcements or plans to run for president in 2024, one can only speculate that if Hillary ran again, he would announce his bid the very next day.
