Follow The Money Trail – Hillary’s Cash Funds Sinister Agenda
(AmericanProsperity.com) – The Defund the Police movement became a political tool for the Left after the gruesome death of George Floyd. Groups like Black Lives Matter have pressed for the flawed goal of cutting police presence on the streets to fight racism and related injustices. Fox News recently reported on former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s role in the growth of this flawed and failed policy, noting that one of the progressive politician’s nonprofit organizations had indirectly donated $75,000 to the cause.
Onward Together
Founded to “encourage people to organize, get involved, and run for office,” Onward Together was Clinton’s answer to what she described as “bullying, hate, falsehoods, and divisiveness” challenging the country. While the organization’s rhetoric paints a wholesome picture of community involvement and positive activism, it’s ultimately just another political action committee (PAC).
Onward Together contributed over $625,000 to help push over 120 liberal candidates between 2018 and 2020. The movement came “in the wake of the 2016 election,” heavily implying anti-Trump sentiment as a motivating factor. But Clinton’s endeavor appears to have deeper connections that could be even more concerning. The organization has partnered with numerous left-wing groups, including Color of Change, Demand Justice, iVote Fund, and Swing Left — but its connection to the Alliance for Youth Action has raised the most brows.
Alliance for Youth Action
Fox News recently uncovered that Onward Together had donated heavily to the Alliance for Youth Action, which was essential to the Defund the Police movement. The group calls law enforcement “slave patrols” who “target and murder” people of color. Its flawed ideas pushed for so-called reform in several cities, even leading to the gutting of the Minneapolis Police Department. Conservative lawmakers like Jim Banks (R-IN) have pointed to the failed move as a significant factor in the steady rise in crime the United States began to notice in 2020.
Over a dozen organizations donated to the Alliance for Youth Action in 2021. The group raked in $11,316,675, which it used to fund various progressive agendas, including Dreams not Debt, which pushes college debt relief; Democracy Done Right, a group that sees current voting regulations as racist; and Protect Abortion Access, which seeks to codify old Roe v. Wade protections.
Time reported that Defund the Police measures have been a horrifying failure, with many officials who’d originally advocated the move quickly backpedaling once the reality of its repercussions at play.
Did Hillary Clinton know what her PAC was funding? If so, should she and other contributors be held accountable for the fallout?
