How King Charles Learned of His Mother's Illness

King Charles Didn’t Know Queen Died Until

(AmericanProsperity.com) – Britain’s longest reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, peacefully died at Balmoral Castle, her family estate in Scotland on Thursday, September 8. Buckingham Palace announced her passing a few hours later and the news sent shockwaves around the world. Jenna Bush Hager, former President George W. Bush’s daughter, was interviewing then-Prince Charles’ wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, earlier that day when the Duke of Wales learned of his mother’s final illness.

Hagar is the co-host of NBC’s Today with Hoda and Jenna and was talking with Camilla on camera at the royal couples’ Dumfries House estate. for an upcoming segment. She recounted staff members interrupting their discussion, telling them Charles was on the phone.

A few minutes later, Hager said she heard a helicopter arrive. Shortly afterward, she said she was politely told she would have to reschedule the remainder of the interview because Charles and Camilla needed to go see the Queen.

Hager also noted that Buckingham Palace issued a statement that Her Majesty’s doctors were concerned for her health, and she would remain under medical supervision. Sadly, later that day, the Queen died.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to King Charles III, his family, and Queen Elizabeth’s millions of subjects.
