(AmericanProsperity.com) – Democrats desperately want to pass legislation restricting access to guns and, apparently, they’re willing to do just about anything to do it. Over the weekend of April 3, House Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) manipulated the death of a Capitol police officer to further her own agenda, despite the fact that no guns were involved in the incident.
On Friday, April 2, a man drove his vehicle into a security barrier at the US Capitol building and hit two police officers. According to reports, he then got out of the car and charged at an officer with a knife, but he was shot and killed before he made contact.
In response, Representative Omar tweeted a lackadaisical tribute tweet for the officer, then twisted the incident to suit her liberal agenda:
Heartbroken to learn another CP was killed while protecting the Capitol. My thoughts and prayers go out to the officer’s family and the entire Capitol Police force. The death toll would have been worse if the assailant had an AR-15 instead of a knife.

The facts clearly show that this man used a vehicle and knife to attack the officers, and it was, in fact, a gun that saved other officers from further harm. Twisting this event into a talking point for gun control, the Democrat’s agenda was both disrespectful and ridiculous.
