Justice Department Launched Investigation Into Boeing?!

(AmericanProsperity.com) – The Justice Department has launched an official investigation into Boeing after the January 5 door plug incident.

On January 5, a door plug from a Boeing 737 MAX plane fell 14,000 feet to the ground and landed in a civilian’s backyard. This prompted inspections into other Boeing Max planes where other issues were discovered and solved in ample time for flights to resume shortly after those investigations and inspections were conducted. During this time the Federal Aviation Administration grounded over 170 Boeing Max 737s nationwide.

The Justice Department has launched an investigation into Boeing following these events to determine whether or not Boeing violated a 2021 agreement after the incident with the 737 door plug blowout and previous issues that Boeing has had with 737 flights from 2018 through 2019.

The agreement was a “deferred prosecution agreement”, and it forced Boeing to cooperate with investigations into two Boeing plane accidents: Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 and Lion Air Flight 610. Everyone on board both planes was killed. These incidents prompted a grounding of all Boeing 737 Max planes worldwide; it was a failed software system that caused the crashes and therefore needed to be addressed on all planes.

The investigation is currently underway by the Justice Department as they look into Boeing’s potential violation of their agreement. The agreement reads, “At the request of the Fraud Section, the Company and its subsidiaries and affiliates shall also cooperate fully with other domestic or foreign law enforcement and regulatory authorities and agencies in any investigation of the Company.”
