(AmericanProsperity.com) – Since President Joe Biden tasked Vice President Kamala Harris with managing the surge of illegal immigrants at our southern border and finding the “root cause” of the situation, she’s visited the border exactly zero times. Her lack of first-hand experience and attention to the situation hasn’t fostered confidence in her ability to lead, yet President Biden just tasked her with another official duty.
Harris Still Seeking “Root Cause” of Border Crisis
On March 24, President Biden first tasked Vice President Harris with dealing with the border crisis. But, 36 days later, our nation continues to experience tens of thousands of illegal immigrants, many of which are unaccompanied minors, crossing our borders every week. This surge is burdening cities and towns along the border as they attempt to house these children and forcing many government agencies to go into overdrive.
Harris continues to speak with leaders of nations in the Northern Triangle in order to address the “root cause” of the issue. But, while Harris is gathering what she calls “invaluable insight” into the problems devastating those nations, our own nation continues to be overrun.
President Biden Put Harris in Charge of His New Infrastructure Plan
President Biden apparently thinks Harris is doing a fine job managing the border crisis, as he announced on Wednesday, April 28. During the speech to a joint session of Congress, he mentioned the Vice President will be leading the push for his $2-trillion infrastructure proposal dubbed the “American Jobs Plan.”
US Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) made a pointed comment about the announcement on Twitter:

Harris Likely to Travel Abroad Before She Visits Our Border
According to Harris’ office, she will try to schedule in-person meetings with the leaders of Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador in June to speak about their countries’ specific issues. This potential trip abroad comes after Harris offered Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei $310 million in aid to “address food insecurity” in his country on Monday, April 26.
But, as Harris shells out funds overseas, she has yet to visit the place where our own nation’s crisis is happening. Hopefully, Harris will have a change of heart — and travel plans — soon and decide to face the crisis at our US-Mexico border. Before she’s tasked with anything else, it’s vital for her to understand what Biden’s open immigration policies created.
