(AmericanProsperity.com) – It’s been just under six months since Vice President Kamala Harris visited the southern border. In March of this year, President Biden tasked her to handle the border crisis, saying she was the most qualified to do so within his administration. However, the last time she visited the troubled region was during a trip to a US Border Patrol processing facility in El Paso, Texas, back on June 25.
In an effort to combat the record-breaking number of illegal immigrants crossing the border, Kamala Harris has proposed a plan. The White House and VP Harris, a few American corporations, and other specific groups have collaborated through her “call to action” plan to stop the growing surge of illegals coming from Central America.

According to the announcement, Harris’ “call to action” will tackle the root cause of the massive exodus through $1.2 billion in commitments made by over 1,300 business, civil, and government leaders across the United States to support social infrastructures and El Salvadoran, Honduran, and Guatemalan economies.
Companies like Nespresso, Microsoft, Mastercard, and others would all play a role in supporting and investing in the people of these Central American countries. The idea is to help create more stability and opportunity to reduce illegal border crossings into the United States.
Since Biden took over in January, the administration has reversed many of the immigration policies set by President Trump. Numerous Republicans blame Biden’s current guidelines for the influx of illegals and asylum seekers, saying the policy changes have only encouraged immigrants to make the dangerous journey to enter the country.
