Democrat Governor BUSTED – At Least $170k Gone

Gas prices have only slightly decreased compared to recent months, and food prices remain painfully elevated, devastating families and making summer vacation plans a distant dream for many. So why do lawmakers like New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) think it’s okay to spend taxpayer dollars journeying all over the country on a private jet?

According to an exclusive report from the New York Post, the governor spent up to $170,000 on travel during her first seven months in office. While much of Hochul’s use of state aircraft has been for campaigning purposes, the lawmaker also has allegedly let taxpayers pay for her to attend meetings and press events. One such supposed display of misuse included flying on one of New York’s jumbo jets to appear at the opening of a Buffalo Bills game.
A spokesperson for the governor, Hazel Crampton-Hays, noted that state-funded excursions didn’t affect public gas prices. She also reminded citizens that Hochul was doing what she could for New York residents — including suspending their gas tax until the end of the year.
Hochul’s press secretary failed to mention that taxpayers are still paying an average of $1,300-$2,500 an hour every time an office-holder uses New York’s aircraft. So, while many residents are finding ways to avoid their gas tanks as much as possible, their hard-earned money could be funding more travel for their state and local representatives than they may realize.
