Democrat City Targets Children
(AmericanProsperity.com) – With summer well on its way, more people are going to be outside enjoying the weather. However, it seems there’s a trend of violence increasing as the temperature rises. A recent shooting in Chicago has led Mayor Lori Lightfoot to feel the need to impose a new curfew for anyone under the age of 18.

The mayor made her announcement on May 14, that she would be altering the current 11 p.m. curfew for minors back to 10 p.m. on weekends. Lightfoot mentioned the city of Chicago has no desire in arresting minors but explained they will if necessary. She asserted she wants to “enforce community norms,” not put children in the back of squad cars.

The mayor’s remarks come after the death of a teenager over the weekend when a gunman shot them at Millennium Park. The mayor commented in a tweet that people in Chicago should be able to come into the city and enjoy public spaces without having to worry about their safety. Is Mayor Lightfoot finally realizing how big of a problem crime is becoming in her city? It appears that may be the case, but one question still remains… will it be enough?
