Military Husband and Wife Shot in Cold Blood

Military Husband and Wife Shot in Cold Blood

( – Enjoying some time spent on a front porch or yard in the morning is a pleasure many Americans enjoy. Yet, for two military service members, their time outside was cut brutally short last week when someone shot and killed them both.

Around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, Edward McDaniel Jr., 55, and Brenda McDaniel, 63, were shot and killed outside their residence in Springfield, Virginia. Edward McDaniel was an active army colonel and physician, while Brenda McDaniel was a retired military physician. Police have noted “they did nothing wrong” leading up to the deadly shooting.

The shooting was likely connected to a reported burglary at the residence two days earlier. Fairfax County Police are searching for Ronnie Keandre Marshall for his possible connection to the murder:

Our military men and women put their lives on the line every day when they are at work, and home should be a respite for them. These deaths are a tragedy and, hopefully, police will find and arrest the criminal or criminals behind it so they can be brought to justice.
