Mitt Romney Issues Dire Warning While Trying to Boost Unpopular Liz Cheney

(AmericanProsperity.com) – In 2012 the GOP nominated Mitt Romney to run for president against the incumbent commander-in-chief, Barack Obama. Senator Romney (R-UT) recently warned his party of dire consequences during his speech at a fundraiser for the unpopular Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY).

During his address, Romney mentioned that America is the only country to experiment with a different type of democracy, citing a chart of past civilizations on display in his office. He called the US government an anomaly among the world’s default setting of authoritarians and autocracies. Romney talked about how fragile the country’s democracy is while claiming it needs more people to do the right thing, using Cheney as an example.

The fundraiser earned Liz Cheney, the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, $526,000. Rep. Cheney hopes the money will help in her battle for re-election against the Trump-backed Harriet Hageman (R). Romney’s support of Cheney, who’s a stark critic of Trump, part of the House’s January 6 Committee, and among the lawmakers who voted to impeach Trump, shows exactly the type of politician and person he is: a Republican-in-name-only, or a RINO.
