(AmericanProsperity.com) – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) repeatedly praised President Joe Biden for getting all the US troops out of Afghanistan last month, despite the chaos and the people left behind. Now, weeks after the president’s botched withdrawal, Pelosi finally admits there’s a problem with the Taliban.
On Wednesday, September 8, Pelosi was holding her weekly press conference when someone asked her opinion of the violent videos shared by the Taliban on social media networks. Pelosi highlighted that the “offensive content” on various sites goes “beyond Afghanistan.” But, she did assert the Taliban’s videos, mostly involving violence against women and girls, are “highly dangerous” and have an “immediate” impact.
Pelosi charged social media companies, like Facebook and Twitter, to censor this content. House Representative Doug Lamborn (R-CO) shared his amazement that he actually agreed with Pelosi on something:
It is a shocking day- @SpeakerPelosi and I actually agree, the Taliban should not have social media accounts. @Twitter should not be providing legitimacy to spokesmen for the Taliban. https://t.co/EteGW49E5K

By allowing violent videos and top spokesmen from the Taliban on their sites, these social media giants legitimize the horrific group now running Afghanistan. Thankfully, lawmakers are finally demanding social media companies stop perpetuating these horrors, something Americans know these companies are fully capable of doing.
