Royal Flush – Netflix Axes Meghan Markle And Prince Harry
(AmericanProsperity.com) – Streaming giant Netflix has enjoyed its spot at the top of streaming services for a long time. Nonetheless, the platform started declining when it began to crack down on password sharing. Now, the company is on a slippery slope as it continues to bleed subscribers thanks to its own policies. As a result, Netflix has had to cut back on spending, meaning it’s had to cancel shows such as the one Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were in the midst of creating.

The couple’s working title of an animated series, “Pearl,” which followed the life of a 12-year-old girl who meets history’s most influential women, will likely never see any screen time since Netflix announced it’s canceling the project. The streaming provider recently canceled two other animated shows as well, “Dino Daycare” and “Boons and Curses.”
“Pearl” was part of Archewell Productions’ deal with Netflix. While the company chose to give “Pearl” the boot, Netflix is still thinking about producing the “Heart of Invictus” documentary series.
These cancellations come as a result of poor earnings for Netflix and the fact that it lost 200,000 subscribers in the first quarter. The company is looking for ways to save money as it expects to lose another 2 million more viewers. Reed Hastings, Netflix co-CEO, says the company’s focus will be on quality rather than quantity, telling Breitbart some shows could see their budgets cut by 25%.
