NOW: Attack on Jewish Organization Stopped

(AmericanProsperity.com) – Exposing the growing threat of anti-Semitism in America, the FBI has frustrated what could have been a deadly attack on a pro-Israel organization in Florida.

During Hanukkah, a time of celebration for the Jewish community, federal agents arrested Forrest Kendall Pemberton from Gainesville.

The man was plotting to target the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) office in Plantation.

Pemberton was arrested after his father reported him missing and possibly armed on December 23.

According to investigators, Pemberton had scouted the AIPAC premises and planned to return armed. His arsenal included three guns, including an AR-15 rifle.

The suspect’s actions are part of a disturbing trend of thwarted attacks on Jewish and Israeli targets across the country.

This surge in anti-Semitism follows the October 7, 2023, invasion of Israel. Recent foiled plots include plans against the Israeli consulate in New York City and a Jewish center in Brooklyn.

An AIPAC spokesperson responded to the incident, saying, “We take these threats very seriously and we are working closely with law enforcement concerning this matter.”

“We will not be deterred by extremists in pursuing our mission to strengthen the relationship with America’s valued ally, Israel. We are deeply appreciative of the FBI’s work to stop this individual,” the spokesperson added.

Despite facing such threats, AIPAC remains committed to its mission of maintaining a strong alliance between the United States and Israel.

This relationship has long been a cornerstone of American foreign policy and a safeguard against terrorism in the Middle East.

As revealed in the investigation, Pemberton was motivated by his frustration with the political status quo. He admitted to targeting AIPAC “because of its political influence.”

Authorities also probed him about his plans, asking whether he wanted to carry out a mass killing and then kill himself.

Pemberton replied, “Um, I really don’t know if I was gonna end it with my life or not. I hadn’t gotten that far yet. It entirely depended if I ended up getting caught or not. If caught, that was a way out.”

As of now, Pemberton remains in custody as he awaits his detention hearing on January 6.
