Obama Attacks Trump – Calls Him ‘Unlawful’

Former President Barack Obama is lecturing America again, this time defending Harvard University while blasting President Donald Trump and his policies as “unlawful.”

Specifically, Obama emerged from the shadows as the champion of the elitist university following President Trump’s freeze on billions in taxpayer funding.

His comments come as Harvard, with its $53.2 billion endowment, continues allowing anti-Israel protests while promoting radical DEI policies despite losing $2.3 billion in federal funding.

The Trump administration implemented the funding freeze after Harvard’s President Alan Garber rejected demands for reforms.

These included ending controversial DEI initiatives, restricting international student admissions, and ensuring viewpoint diversity.

The reforms also demanded banning face coverings used by radical protesters, withdrawing recognition from student groups promoting violence, and implementing merit-based admissions.

These measures, set to take effect by August 2025, are part of President Trump’s broader effort to combat elite institutions that have increasingly embraced far-left ideologies.

Obama’s defense of Harvard shows his continued allegiance to radical academic institutions that promote woke ideology while silencing conservative voices.

The former president claimed on social media that Harvard “set an example” by standing against what he called an “unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom.”

What Obama conveniently ignores is that Harvard faces serious allegations of failing to protect Jewish students following the October 7th Hamas terrorist attacks.

The Department of Education opened investigations into 60 colleges nationwide for anti-semitism, using federal authority to protect students from discrimination.

“No government — regardless of which party is in power — should dictate what private universities can teach, whom they can admit and hire, and which areas of study and inquiry they can pursue,” stated Harvard President Alan Garber.

Unlike Harvard, Columbia University recognized its responsibility to taxpayers and agreed to changes ordered by the Trump administration after losing $400 million in federal grants.

Columbia placed certain departments under “academic receivership” to ensure compliance with civil rights laws and protect students from the radical elements that had overtaken campus discourse.

The standoff between Harvard and the Trump administration highlights the broader battle for America’s educational institutions.

Elite universities have long operated with impunity, using taxpayer dollars to fund programs that divide Americans by race and promote anti-American sentiment while claiming academic freedom.

A member of the education department’s task force on combating anti-semitism noted:

“Harvard’s statement today reinforces the troubling entitlement mindset that is endemic in our nation’s most prestigious universities and colleges – that federal investment does not come with the responsibility to uphold civil rights laws.”

Harvard’s wealthy endowment means it can financially withstand this funding freeze, but the university’s defiance sends a dangerous message that elite institutions believe they are above accountability.
