(AmericanProsperity.com) – Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) never fails to make a scene when it comes to hot political topics. This week, she warned fellow Democrats that their time holding both House and Senate majorities could come to an end at any moment and urged them to ignore any attempts at bipartisan negotiations.
On Wednesday, June 9, Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez reminded fellow lawmakers of the 2009 death of Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA), whose passing led to Democrats losing their filibuster-proof majority, something the Left hoped would last for years. With this, many lawmakers are feeling the pressure of aging left-leaning Senators, including Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) who is nearly 88, Patrick Leahy (D-VT) who is 81, and Bernie Sanders (I-VT) who turns 80 this year.

Feeling this time crunch, AOC told fellow lawmakers to “hustle” and “move now” rather than “playing patty-cake” with Republicans. She urged them to push through the infrastructure bill and whatever else they can before they lose their slim majority.
No matter how much AOC dislikes bipartisan negotiating, she must face it. It’s how our government was set up in order to protect every single American, not just the ones who hold a slim majority over the others.
