(AmericanProsperity.com) – As thousands of children arrive on our southern border every week, politicians from both sides of the aisle have traveled to see the situation first hand. Yet, rather than addressing the crisis and suggesting how to work through it, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is using the influx of children at the border to push her theory on how the word “surge” promotes White supremacy.
On Tuesday, March 30, AOC spoke with her followers during an Instagram Live session about the US-Mexico border crisis. After a follower confronted her about her lack of attention to the situation, the New York lawmaker ranted about how the media is actually “trying to invoke a militaristic frame” through their use of rhetoric regarding immigrants.

Rather than rushing to the border to fight for the children as she did when President Donald Trump was in office, AOC is now using the thousands of unaccompanied minors waiting at border facilities to push her socialist agenda.
Instead of manipulating the situation for her own gain, perhaps AOC should call the situation what it is: a surge of migrants flocking to our shores. Maybe then she could address the actual crisis instead of grandstanding for the crowd.
