President Donald Trump’s bombshell Operation Take Back America has yielded amazing results in a liberal stronghold known for harboring criminals.
Specifically, federal authorities have arrested 133 illegal aliens, including three convicted murderers, in New York.
The five-day sweep targeted criminals and repeat offenders hiding throughout western, central, and northern New York.
The operation has sent a clear message that America’s safety is being restored under this administration’s immigration enforcement policies.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and federal partners conducted a coordinated operation resulting in the arrest of 84 illegal aliens from the Buffalo and Rochester areas.
An additional 49 illegals were apprehended from Syracuse, Albany, Rouses Point, and Massena.
The operation represents a significant victory in the ongoing battle to secure America’s communities from criminal aliens who have exploited the nation’s previously weak border policies.
Among those arrested were 20 illegals with criminal records, including three convicted murderers who had been allowed to remain in the country despite their violent histories.
Nine of those arrested were foreign nationals who had previously been deported but managed to re-enter the United States illegally – a federal felony that carries up to 20 years in prison.
The operation also saw the execution of four criminal search warrants targeting networks involved in bringing in and harboring illegal aliens.
These raids resulted in 18 additional administrative arrests and the seizure of crucial evidence that may help dismantle larger criminal enterprises operating within New York State.
ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Buffalo Acting Deputy Field Office Director Philip Rhoney declared:
“By leveraging our federal partnerships and intelligence-driven investigations, ICE continues to carry out its mission in a way that best serves national security, public safety and border security. I am grateful for the professionalism, dedication and support from all of our partners during this week-long operation to remove dangerous alien offenders from our New York communities.”
The arrests included particularly dangerous individuals such as a South African citizen named Marcell M. Meyer, who was found to be in possession of child pornography.
Others had convictions for sexual conduct with a child, manslaughter, assault, and various drug offenses.
Operation Take Back America has been remarkably effective since President Trump took office on January 20th.
According to reports, the administration has already deported over 100,000 aliens and arrested 113,000 others nationwide, demonstrating a dramatic shift from the previous administration’s hands-off approach to immigration enforcement.
“The success of this enhanced enforcement operation underscores the importance of utilizing a whole-of-government approach when protecting the public from criminal aliens and dangerous individuals living in our western, central, and northern New York communities,” said ICE Homeland Security Investigations Buffalo Special Agent in Charge Erin Keegan.
“Standing side-by-side with our partners, ICE HSI will utilize every tool at our disposal to ensure the safety and security of New Yorkers,” she added.
The scale of the operation highlights the Trump administration’s commitment to following through on campaign promises to restore law and order at the border and within American communities.
Multiple federal agencies collaborated in the effort, including the FBI, DEA, Customs and Border Protection, ATF, U.S. Marshals Service, and Department of State.
ICE officials have encouraged the public to report crimes and suspicious activity related to illegal immigration through their hotline or online tip form.
As Operation Take Back America continues to gain momentum across the country, Americans have been encouraged to take heart that the federal government is finally taking decisive action to protect them.
