Pelosi Gives A Health Update On Her Husband
(AmericanProsperity.com) – Around two weeks ago, 82-year-old Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), was the victim of what some people have called a politically motivated attack. The assailant, 42-year-old David DePape, allegedly broke into the Pelosi residence in the Pacific Heights neighborhood in San Francisco and hit Mr. Pelosi in the head twice with a hammer. The Speaker of the House recently opened up about the attack and provided an update on her husband’s health.
During an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, the Democrat mentioned the injury her husband sustained was “pretty awful.” The speaker noted her family was fortunate it wasn’t worse, explaining her husband’s skull could have pierced his brain, with the possibility of killing him. Mr. Pelosi didn’t sustain any permanent damage, but he’s still in for a long recovery.
Speaker Pelosi noted that while her husband was lucky, his injuries were still extensive. The Democrat explained surgeons had to remove a portion of her partner’s skull, reshape it, and then put it back in place. Still, Pelosi is optimistic that her husband is on the right track. She indicated she felt her husband was “with it” after hearing from her son. The younger family member reportedly said the first words to come out of his father’s mouth after the operation were that the speaker would be happy to hear the Ravens won the night before.
Pelosi said the attack on her husband will likely be a deciding factor in her consideration to retire.
