Pelosi Says She’s Not Concerned About Swalwell Being Compromised By Chinese Spy

Pelosi Has No Concern About Rep. Eric Swalwell (Report)

( – This week, House Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA) hit headlines as a relationship between him and an alleged Chinese spy was made public by an Axios report. But, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) showed little concern for the news and instead said the whole story was a diversion tactic from Republicans.

On Thursday, December 10, Pelosi told reporters she had no concern about the congressman’s dealing and that both parties were told about the report in 2015. Additionally, she affirmed that she does not want background checks for congressional interns, even though the report showed China was able to infiltrate our ranks.

She then accused House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who has called for the removal of Swalwell from the Intelligence Committee, of “trying to deflect attention from the fact that he has QAnon in his delegation.”

GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel shared her thoughts on the incident:

Nancy Pelosi’s lack of concern for national security in light of this incident is astounding. Rather than addressing the situation head-on, she chose to use the interview to attack Republicans. Americans must not get swayed by this attempt to divert media attention away from the issue at hand.
