(AmericanProsperity.com) – Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has been at the helm of the Democrat party for decades. That’s all set to change in January, when Republicans will take a majority in the House. Pelosi is stepping down from her leadership role and is doing so with a bang.

As Pelosi passes the torch, it appears that Congress is set to pass a massive $1.7 trillion spending package filled with her party’s priorities. But that’s not all. The January 6 Committee has also concluded its investigation of former President Donald Trump and has submitted criminal referrals to the Department of Justice.
Pelosi has been a part of several big moments throughout her long and successful career as a representative. In 1991, the California lawmaker made an appearance at Tiananmen Square, asserting her position as a pro-democracy advocate for the entire world to see.
Then in 2002, Pelosi declared her opposition to the war in Iraq. Five years later, in 2007, she became the first woman to be elected as Speaker of the House. Pelosi repeated that feat in 2019, when she returned to the position. Even with a career full of success, the Democrat declared she wants to be remembered for her role in passing the Affordable Care Act.
