(AmericanProsperity.com) – On Sunday, April 11, 20-year-old Daunte Wright was killed in Minnesota after an apparent “accidental discharge” by a police officer. The incident occurred just blocks away from where George Floyd died while in police custody last May, causing many citizens of Minneapolis to take to the streets in protest. But, as the nation is once again reeling from these events, some protestors took their actions way too far.
On the evening of Tuesday, April 13, over 100 protestors took to the streets of Portland, Oregon to show their anger over the death of Wright. However, as the large group approached the Portland Police Association around 10 PM, some people in the crowd decided to set it on fire.
Author and veteran Jack Posobiec shared a clip as the building began to burn:

Police dispersed the protesters peacefully, and one woman was charged with arson after firefighters extinguished the fire. While these acts of violence are abhorrent, it’s not surprising to see in a city that defunded much of its police department last summer. Police vow to protect our communities every day, but without proper resources and respect, cities are likely to continue experiencing unrest and destruction.
