(AmericanProsperity.com) – Second Amendment rights came under pressure in St. Louis, Missouri this past weekend. Executing a search warrant issued Friday, police took possession of two firearms from a couple who met protestors in their yard with guns in hand.
Patricia and Mark McCloskey went viral in June when photos and videos of them protecting their home from trespassing protestors began to circulate. Patricia had a handgun while Mark brandished an AR-15 rifle. The handgun was given to their original attorney, Al Watkins, but the rifle remained at home until taken by police.
St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner is leading the investigation that seized the guns and stated her grounds in a tweet.

Thankfully, Missouri has many laws protecting the McCloskeys. In support of the couple’s Second Amendment rights, many gun shops have offered them additional guns free of charge to aid in the continued protection of their home.
Charges have not yet been filed, but the simple fact that law enforcement seized guns from a couple simply defending their own property without discharging their weapons is terrifying. Americans have the right to keep and bear arms, and we must hold fast to that or else be overrun.
