Republican Leader Apologizes After Telling Official “Kiss My A**”

Republican Leader Apologizes After Telling Official

( – With Freedom Convoy drawing attention in Canada, and another about to begin in the United States, it’s becoming clear many people have had about enough of COVID and pandemic-related restrictions. It has even reared its ugly head to the point one politician found himself needing to apologize to another.

Though masks are mandated at the House chamber, some members have no problem disobeying the restriction and paying the salty fine.

It seems that while boarding a train to head to the House chamber, Hal Rogers (R-KY) and Joyce Beatty (D-OH) exchanged some unkind words. Representative Beatty politely requested Rogers put on a mask. The congressman then poked her back and demanded she get on the train. The congresswoman asked Representative Rogers not to touch her, at which time he said, “Kiss my ass.”

Rogers did meet with Beatty later so he could give her an apology for his unacceptable comment and signify his sincere regret in person. However, it didn’t come before Beatty expressed her opinion of the matter on Twitter.

It seems Joyce and members of the Congressional Black Caucus took the comment not only as offensive because of its content but also as harassment because of her race and gender.

What do you think? Are people being pushed to the brink with these mandates? Do you believe Rogers gave Beatty a sincere apology?
