Republican Veteran to Run Against Democratic Senator

( – As Republicans look forward to taking back Congress in the 2022 midterms, many eyes will be on the Georgia Senate race. During the week of April 12, the first Republican officially began campaigning against Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA), who’s currently serving the final two years of retired GOP senator Johnny Isakson’s term. Kelvin King is a veteran, small business owner, and believes he’s the right one for the job.

King served for five years in the United States Air Force and started his own Atlanta-based construction company soon after leaving the military. The black Republican spoke with Fox News’ Paul Steinhauser this week about the Senate race and his opponent, Reverend Warnock:

While King is entering into a tough race, he assured Steinhauser that he’ll be able to raise the money needed to compete with Warnock. King himself is a product of the American dream and noted that he’s “a fan” of the recent voting laws passed in Georgia.

Between his strong conservative values and traditional beliefs, Kelvin King is definitely a candidate to watch as we look forward to the 2022 midterms.
