Assistant Attorney General of Arizona, Jennifer Wright, sent Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs an email detailing the possibility of charging her with a Class 6 Felony. Hobbs is allegedly attempting to rig the 2022 elections and is in violation of Arizona state law.

The Secretary of State, who is competing in Arizona’s gubernatorial race, sent an email to candidates informing them that in March, the E-Qual online system would be down until after the filing period at the end of April. If the system were down, the online petition portal would be unavailable for anyone running for office in 2022.
In order for candidates to get their names on the ballot, they need to obtain a certain number of petition signatures. Arizona law dictates that the Secretary of State must provide a secure online portal for these petitions, the E- Qual online system.
The message Assistant AG Wright sent to Hobbs detailed the state law. The Assistant AG also requested Hobbs make any necessary changes to ensure compliance or face the consequences, which could be a Class 6 Felony or a Class 3 Misdemeanor.
