( – A group of around 100 juveniles left a senseless wake of destruction when they rushed a Philadelphia store on Saturday, September 24. Police who responded to the scene said the youngest of the children appeared to be 10 years old, according to an ABC6 Action News report. Sources haven’t yet uncovered a motive, but the perpetrators seemed bent solely on wreaking havoc.

The terrifying event occurred at a local Wawa retailer, where crime has become a regular occurrence. One resident reportedly said she’s become fearful of shopping at the location. Kaitlyn Holtzman, a former employee, also expressed outrage, her response implying this was not the first time such a rampage had left the store in shambles. “I know just how terrifying it is and how[…] frustrating it is having to clean up after” an attack.

Wawa is currently cooperating with law enforcement. The company offered a statement assuring the public that it sees customer safety as a priority. Police contacted parents on September 26, asking for anyone who might help identify the responsible parties to call 215-686-TIPS. Suspects face possible felony rioting charges, among other offenses.

Crime has become a growing problem in Philadelphia and other Democrat-led regions nationwide. Breitbart News reported that the city saw a record-breaking 562 murders in 2021.
