(AmericanProsperity.com) – On Monday, March 28, Tucker Carlson insisted that the best course of action to take with President Joe Biden, accused of having cognitive issues, is to remove him by way of the 25th Amendment. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) disagreed with Carlson, offering some insight to listeners of his podcast, “Verdict with Ted Cruz.” The popular Texan Republican said the idea is “dangerous as hell.”

Cruz believes the threshold for invoking the amendment is way too high, especially when Biden’s alleged disabilities were well known to the American voters, and still, they chose to elect him. Cruz insinuates that removing Biden would infuriate enough people to send the whole ordeal into a production of political theater.
The 25th Amendment states that the vice president, along with the cabinet, has to come together independently and vote to remove him. It seems highly unlikely that Vice President Kamala Harris would begin the proceedings, as the Constitution requires. It seems even less likely that a majority of the president’s cabinet would jump on board.
President Biden may have avoided the issue had he chosen to take the same cognitive test given to former Presidents Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan, both in their 70s at the time. Biden, at 78, is the oldest person ever to occupy the Oval Office.
